We Are in Need of Your Donations

Dear Friend:
We are proud to present the larger than life Lonnie Scoggins, Sr., and his horse Blazer bronze statue monument in the city of Oakland, California. Our goal is to create this monument as a dedication to the life and legacy of one of Oakland's best known cowboys. Today, we ask that you to join OBCA as we collectively work to create this historic statue together for us and our future generations to see.
The prancing of horses, the waving of hats, the gleeful sound of Getty Up Cowboy is threatened to be silenced. The Oakland Black Cowboy Association is best known as the host of The Black Cowboy Parade and Festival, the only parade and celebration of its kind in the United States. For over a quarter century, the Black Cowboy Parade, held in memory of the black cowboys that helped to settle the American West has been an annual event in Oakland, California. The parade is an exciting annual historic event.
Over 1,500 individuals attend the annual festival and countless number of onlookers lines the parade route. You can help produce the 40thAnnual Parade by joining us as official sponsors. The Oakland Community is known for banning together to support our own. We are asking you to embrace this concept by joining us as official sponsor of the parade.
The Oakland Black Cowboy Association is a 501(3)(c) and all donations are tax deductible, of course, the best benefit of all is knowing how much you have done to positively support our annual parade. You may make a donation via our PayPal link below or mail your contribution to: The Oakland Black Cowboy Association, P.O. Box 4889, Oakland, CA 94605. If you have any additional questions or need any additional information please contact me at 510-541-2763.
Our hope is you will seriously consider this invitation and join us as we strive to make a “positive” difference. Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Wilbert McAlister
President
